Today I’m standing at an amazing lakeside location in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and wanted to share with you a thought that came to us while we were hiking to get here. That thought is that life is like a hike - you have both the peaks of the mountaintops, and the challenging valleys.
We all love the peaks, but the higher the peak, the lower the valley you had to come through to reach it. When you’re in one of the valleys, look for the lesson to be learned in that moment, apply that lesson, and welcome the valley. Only through that valley comes the amazing peak.

Challenge that thought within yourself. Celebrate the valleys, because good things are coming. In order to get to where we are right now in Coeur d’Alene, we had to hike uphill through a very tough spot. But you know what? It was worth it.
